It's just like mine (also in curley maple), and YES, the combination with my Dodd 120s is SUPER!

I had the Dodd reference, at the time, along with CJ act 2, and thor TA 1000 MK2. Now I do not use a pre, I use my APL NWO 2.5T.

Can you give me a comparison of all those pre-amps against each other? The only one I am familiar with is the Thor.

Maybe you can come hear them powering the LS-9's shortly. I will try to start work on the LS-9 crossover this weekend if I can. If not this weekend then maybe next week. Oh yea, the LS-9 boxes are here.

Those should give you inspiration to flush out the LS-9's in style.

Maybe the first cuts should be from Miles' "Kind of Blue", Joni Mitchell "Blue", Blue Man Group, ...

The real bummer is that they draw 1100 watts of power at idle. Now I have to have Gary build me a bigger balanced power supply.

That's the equivalent of leaving on 18+ 60 watt lamps!!!

How much do they draw when in use?

Are they really 1100 watts? In CT, with our 22 cents per killowatt hour, that's 0.22 * 1.1 * 24 *365 = $2119 dollars per year (if left on 24/7)! (About $180/month!) That's insane.

That's over 9 amps at idle! You have to have these on their own 20 amp breaker.
