ModWright attended the Montreal 'Festival Son & Image' show for the second time, the first being last year when we were invited to show with Bruce Edgar of Edgar Horns and had a fantastic time. Last year we also signed exclusive Canadian distributorship with Tri-Cell Enterprises. This year we attended to support Tri-Cell and showed in a room with them, shared by Accustic Arts, Acoustic Zen, and Red Dragon Audio, among other products also represented by Tri-Cell.
We displayed with our SWP 9.0SE phono stage with a fine German TT and the new LS 36.5 LS. Amplification was by Red Dragon Audio Leviathans and speakers were the Acoustic Zen Adagios. Digital was by the Accustic Arts transport/DAC combo (because our modified players are not represented by dealers, we chose to show with a digital source represented by Tri-Cell). Cabling was by both Acoustic Zen and Cardas.
First of all we had a great time and attendance was fantastic. Montreal is a beautiful city and the show has good energy and typically very good attendance. We played mostly vinyl during the show and we saw a lot of smiling faces and tapping toes. When we played Scheherazade, the room got really full and eyes simply widened and mouths fell open

. The scale and impact of this orchestral piece was truly amazing and the system really shone.
I will add to this post as more show coverage comes out.
