Buddy volunteered to donate his ole Scott receiver.
How practical might it be to upgrade/modify/modernize only the tuner section, to be used as a tuner only?
Could anyone post a picture of the Scott receiver? Weight?
What is power rating (guessing around 20Wpc)? A friend's 300B was the absolutely best amp I've heard in the treble. The modded power amp section of a Scott receiver isn't in league w/ a good 300B in the treble, IS it? (Hmmm...maybe modify the tuner AND power amp? I have no use for a preamp section.)
Approximate parts cost?...not the absolutely best/most expensive, maybe the tier just below.
