A few months back, I received a pair of speakers from John.  I am enjoying them a lot and I've always wanted to photograph them to show you guys the great work that he does.

John, I did try the inductor, but it just killed the qualities of the fostex speakers.  I'm actually getting used to the way they sound, especially since I play them at very low levels.  But with the inductors, they sound compressed and badly contained.   I wonder if a lower value inductor would give a lessened effect (or opposite?).

Looks very nice!  I'd be interested in the particulars of that design.  Is that an 8" or is it smaller?

It's a 6 1/2 inch -- FE167E if I remember right.

Andy wanted to try a pair of fullrangers, and I had these boxes sitting around, and...

I think the boxes are about 28 liters internally. The tweeter isn't connected, although it could be.
