No sound from left mono of D*200
« on: 8 Apr 2007, 02:39 pm »
Hi Dusty
Thought it was my speakers but after some troubleshooting, I realised that my left mono unit has suddenly gone mute! The blue "power on" light still works and moments before complete mute, I heard some rushing sound (like a radio station that was fuzzy!) and then it went dead silent!  :?

What should I do? Does the unit have a fuse that blew? Can you help me figure out what may have happened? I had to pull my Cary 300SEI and Rogers LS3/5a from the guest room and while the combo sounds pretty good, I miss the magic of the CIAudio D*200s!!

Best Regards
Dennis

Send me an email and I can help you trouble-shoot it.

Luckless I stand with one mono that is down, 16 days past the 1st Anniversary!

Sigh!

We can't fix it if you don't send it to us (as I suggested 2 weeks ago).

I am sorry if my last post sounded like I was blaming Dusty for the delay! That could not be further from the truth! Dusty has been very prompt in suggesting that I send the amps back for him to examine what went wrong and to repair them and have them back to me as quickly as he can! Its just that the shipping cost for the two amps would cost an astronomical USD 500 and I was just not prepared to meet such an outlay! So, Dusty came out with a brilliant idea to strip the parts that mattered and to have these shipped to him instead. I guess I am suffering from "withdrawal" symptoms without my D*200s and the familiar music that soothed my tired day at work!  :duh:
I can't wait to have the D*200s running again, that's how much I LIKE THEM!
