AHHH OMG I DIDN'T KNOW YOU GUYS EXISTED!!! I post alot over at head-fi.org and I'm trying to put together an StL head-fi meet. How many of you also post there? A guy there nicknamed stlblues who moved to Ohio 3 years ago told me about you. Do you guys do both speaker & headphone audio? I get the impression you guys get together often? Anyway, here's a link to the StL meet thread at Head-fi http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=232495  I'd love to make all you guys a part of our meet. Should I start a twin thread here? I can't believe this, I'M ECSTATIC!!! :icon_lol: :D  :thumb: :P aa

Hey pf4evr,

Sure, go ahead and make dual posts. In fact if any of the Headfi guys are into 2 channel, send 'em our way  :green:

Tell you what, I've got a Graham Slee Solo I could bring. Also depending on when the meet is, I've got the Soundquest SQ84 push pull 6V6 amp in house for a while too while I write about it.

Seems like its headphone day around here. I just had a conversation on a different thread where I told Gooberdude that I ordered a pair of Shure 210's from Headroom today.  :D

Welcome.  In STL and a Floyd head too.  Works for me.  Look for a thread for Bryan's G2G part 2 - we're likely getting a small group together this weekend sometime if you want to drop over and do some 2 channel listening, lying, a couple beers, etc.

Maybe a month, maybe less if I can get a solid day or two to listen and write.

Damn it Arch Men, I wish you guys lived closer to me (or me to you)! I love those Headfier's, they are a fun bunch. Can an Indiana boy be an honorary Gateway guy?

Unfortunately, I sold all my headphone gear in a fit of allergy pain.  :duh: I'd like to start again tho'. I miss my Singlepower Supra :(

Hey Scott, Lemme know how you like the SQ84. I thought it was a nice little amp, with big bang for the buck. Oh and you can take partial credit, I have finally started my DIY career. Amp building 101...

Cheers,
Gary

Hiya Gary

Absolutely you can be an honorary member. Hey, you, your wife and kids ought to make the trip over some weekend. It's only about 3-4 hours. I could probably hook you up with some Cardinals tickets too. Theres plenty for the family to do (I live right next to 6 Flags and there are tons of other things to see and do) plus you could make a guest appearance at a gathering  :green:

Come on over  :thumb:

I am alsoa head-fier!

my name is matt, and i live in wildwood.

i have a humble set up

Baby Stax (SRM001/MKII amp/headphones)
ALO Cables (headphone extention for e500s and mini/mini cable)
Turbo Dock
Practical Devices XM3
Total Bithead
Shure e500s
And iPod/MacBook

my set up is pretty basic, but I would be more than happy to attent and let people try out my gear, i'll order a bunch of tips from Shure so that multiple people can demo.

I'll be sure to check here as much as I do head-fi, sounds like we have a cool bunch here.
