Tip for playing those warped LPs

Having got my TT running real sweet, it is the little things that annoy....like warped LPs that don't quite sit flat and then introduce the usual nasties.

Try this, it works well for me, get some blutac (gotta love this stuff) and make some little balls then push down on the LP where is is warped around the edge and stuff a little blob of bluetac there between the very outer edge of the LP and side of the platter.  It sounds very rough I know but it is very easy to do, and works really well unless your trying to play a real taco!  No problems at all to remove it.

It is a good trick for digitizing those old LPs to, in fact if you put about 8 blobs around the perimeter of the LP before digitizing you can reduce the surface noise and rumble of the first couple of tracks, try it once just to see.
