I've been saying for about six months that the USB drive is going to become the personal calculator of this decade.  I'm guessing by the end of this year low end ones will be a dollar or less.

I don't think the trend of releasing singles on USB drives will catch on, but it is a good marketing gimmick.

I'd buy those, although I'd rather have a kiosk where I could get native-resolution (not compressed) song data.  In other words, the entire album on a disk in uncompressed format.  I really only use my CDs to add to my hard drive.  Once that process is complete, I never see the CD again.  If I want to know any info about the CD, songs, artists, etc., I Google that info.
