Saw it a couple of weeks ago and forgot to post how much I liked it.  Ray Liotta and Jason Patrick deliver amazing performance.  The movie is by turns brutal and understated.  Good stuff.

Yes I saw it and I totally agree, fantastic movie, great plot and surprisingly good acting.  I was very pleasantly surprised at this pick. I definitely recommend it and I think it is among Ray Liotta's better works.

Have you seen Deep Blue?  Think that is the name.... I rented those together and was dumbfounded that I actually picked two good ones at the same time which is quickly becoming an extreme outlier.

Do you mean Dark Blue w/Kurt Russell?  Haven't seen it yet although I almost got it the night I rented Narc.

Yes that is the one!  Dark blue.  I usually don't like Kurt Russell but I thought he did a fine job and the perspective is different than many mainstream movies which gives an interesting twist.  I recommend this one, especially if you liked Narc.

I thought Narc to be better than Dark Blue.

I honestly didn't care much for Dark Blue. I don't really know why. I like Kurt Russell & Ving Rhames. But something about it just didn't work for me.

Narc is amazing especially when one considers that it was a ballsy first-time Director/writer with extremely limited experience.

They ran out of money half-way thru shoting.  Ray Liotta was making emergency phone calls late at night to secure financing.  The shit literally hit the fan and would have been a devastating blow to the Director had the filmed not finished shooting.  Now the Director is "legit" and can easily make 7+ figure pay.

Kudos to Liotta for taking the role and making it happen.  Without him, this project would have never gotten off the ground.  He and his wife liked the screenplay and committed to it no matter what.
