This is fantastic! It is such a great idea, that it is any wonder why it hasn't been done more often. It is basically a Class A power buffer. With no voltage gain, you can build a class A voltage gain stage from tubes and place it right next to the amp, keeping ICs short, creating essentially a tube chassis hybrid amp. Let the tubes do what tubes do well.
