Hmmm interesting - I am interested in the concept of archiving of recorded TV shows on DVDs right in the unit. Do you use XP Media Center Edition as a PVR? Have you looked into this in any depth? I wonder if it can do data backups - it would be a very nice data backup system.

I found the manual - it supports reading from data disks in file manager, but it doesn't look like it will burn data disks, just media disks. This is a neat unit and for 200 it may be a good addition to a MCE system.
