Well the final piece of the puzzle is completed. Danny's SW-12a/PR-12a sub! Man does this thing add some lower bass to my setup. I was really happy with the bass produced by my A/V-3, specially compared to my old NHT setup but there are clearly some notes I have never heard before in my life. I'm listening to Cassandra Wilson, ouf, there are a few low rumblings in there I didn't know existed. Then I put a Portishead album, darn, unbelievable the amount of low bass there is in these albums. OK, here is what it looks like:

I read the instruction PDF (
http://www.rythmikaudio.com/manual/A350_SE.pdf) that comes with the amp but it didn't help much.
So I set it up by ear but I'm not sure at all this is optimal. I currently have the crossover around
50Hz, the phase at
180, the level around
11 o'clock, the "bass extension freq" at
20 and the damping at
mid. I also have the subwoofer low pass filter internal switch at
24db/oct roll off, which is supposed to be best for music instead of the 12db/oct.
My main concern is the phase, I really don't understand the explanation in the manual and I think this is quite important. If you can shed some light on this one I'd really appreciate it. Any other suggestions will be appreciated as well.
