I just realized this
can be done. You just have to do it in pieces. I'll have to work up some drawings.
Basically, use the binding posts on your FRYBABY, connect one output to pin 2, the other to pin 3 on the XLR. Run voltage mode like that. Then short pin 2 to pin 3 at the other end of the cable. That will do current mode (more important). Ok, that does just the signalling.
Now do the return and shield. Same thing, but connect one output to pin 1, the other to outer shield.
