Simple way to attenuate super tweeter?
« on: 1 Mar 2007, 11:04 pm »
I have a pair of Radio Shack super tweeters made by Fostex (#40-1410) that I have connected to the terminals of single driver speakers. Presently they are too hot and I'd appreciate some suggestions on a simple and flexible way to adjust their volume. The speakers run @4 0hms and the supertweet @ 8 ohms.

Thanks,

Raj

"L" pad lets you adjust the relative volume of individual drivers in a speaker system while maintaining a constant 8 ohm impedance. Works great with our L-pad faceplates. Comes complete with mounting hardware and wiring diagram. Rated at 15 watts RMS.

This is from Parts Express.

You might be able to find something similar at Radio Shack
