Emotiva LPA-1 amp sound quality?
« on: 1 Mar 2007, 02:37 am »
Has anyone heard this amp? It appears to be extremely well built and has a 30 day money back guarantee. The real question is, what does it sound like. Anyone?

Thanks!

I used mine for about 60-70 hours, and I made a huge difference over anything I have ever used before. I previously used a HK-635, the Denon 3805, and the Yamaha 2600.  Unfortunatly, I am having to get rid of mine now.

I did buy a LPA-1 and am very pleased with it. Amazing sound quality at a bargain price, IMHO.

Good luck Jim, I sent my MPS-1 back and should receive my Odyssey Mono's today.

HI Randy,

Thanks! I'm very happy with the LPA-1. Sound quality is excellent and build quality is superb. It's a real powerhouse too. Lonnie told me that it was rated very conservatively and I believe that to be true.

I saw that you'd decided to return the MPS-1 and get Odyssey Mono's. I'm not familiar with them but they sound like they'll be a killer amp. Let us know if you can "crank it up" to suite you with them.

Cheers!

Jim
