I have a Larger Sub. I also have a bass hump in my room.  So purchasing the Parts Express plate amp makes a lot of sense since I should be able to flatten the bass hump.  The other option would be to sell the Larger and buy a VSS.  Has anyone, other than Big B, been able to do A-B comparisons between a Larger driven by a PE plate amp and a VSS?

Other than the "prototype' VSS you saw and heard at the show, no VSS's will ship until after the cabinet order arrives in the next couple weeks.

24 of the VSS arrived yesterday with the V60 shipment.  There is no reason you can't use the PE plate amp on the Larger and eliminate your hump.

Do these VSS cabinets have the veneered front?

Yes, the VSS has veneered fronts under a removable cloth grill.  The shipment just arrived and probably won't hit our warehouse until end of the week.

I have two pair of the VLA towers in stock in piano black.  Veneered VLA's won't be in for about six weeks, so if you have them on order we will loan you Largers (converted to VSS specs) until the veneered VLA's arrive.  Then we'll swap. The Guangdong factory is closed the rest of this month for CNY (Chinese New Year).

I will post pix of the VSS as soon as they get here.
