When I first saw something on one of these forums about this little clock, I thought it was a joke, a spoof, a parody, but this Audiogon ad looks real, like somebody is actually expecting some buyer to pay money for this thing.  Is this clock the audio equivalent of the Pet Rock?  What gives?

It was originally developed by Timex corp. and later modified by 3M with a special adhesive backing on the little round orange dot.
