Sherwood Newcastle AVP-9080R AV Tuner Preamp in mint condition.  This is a Dolby Digital, DTS five channel unit with lots of bells and whistles.  Includes original box, manual and original remote.  This is a very nice unit which has performed flawlessly in my system from day one, mated with a Parasound 5-channel power amp.  Only reason I'm selling is rack/space, as I need to move to a single box receiver.  This is a great way to check out home theater seperates for not a lot of money.  Photos available upon request.  I don't check AC all that often, so please email me at [email protected]  Photos available upon request.  Asking $350 plus shipping.

If I'm not mistaken doesn't it have a "phono" input and a Laser Disc demodualtor for AC-3?

A couple friends had them and said the 2 channel preamp performance was quite good.

Yes, the unit does have laser disc inputs with built-in demodulator, and phono inputs.  It has a ton of features and inputs I never used since I just used it with a DVD player for home theater, and otherwise have other equipment I use for dedicated audio listening.
