Bryston Speaker Switch
« on: 10 Feb 2007, 03:40 pm »
Hi, first post on the board.

Curious about the headphone jack on my older Bryston 3 speaker switch.

What sort of headphone can I safely plug in there?  Are "normal" dynamic headphones like 32 ohm Grado or 300 ohm Sennheiser ok?

My wife won the battle and my old stereo has given way to new HT complete with plasma tv & on-wall speakers, so I'm thinking headphones are probably best for my music listening going forward.

Hi izoard,

Welcome.
The headphone jack is powered off the amplifier connected to the switch box so any normal dynamic type headphone is fine.
The quality of sound will be a function of the amplifier used.

Thanks James.

The amp is a Bryston 4B, seemed like a lot of juice for some headphones.
