It's because you broke yours isn't it? Well... I'm not falling for that one.
A great female vocal test track is the Bell Song from Lakme by Delibes. Here is a you tube rendition but you can get it on a lot of operatic highlight CDs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju-oCQxZ9hs
Great Topic. For years I have been using a compilation disc that I put together for system testing purposes including songs that I am not only intimately familar with but which are of the highest recorded quality. I chose songs that stress elements of the system that are important to me. All tracks were ripped securely with EAC and then burned with Feurio on a gold CDR.I bring this test CD everytime I go test pieces of gear.Viola Fora De Moda - Ana Caram - CheskyTiden Bara Gar - Therese Juel - Opus 3Jeeps Blues - Jazz at the Pawnshop - ProphoneBonny Portmore - Loreena McKennittThe Portrait - Amanda McBroom - Sheffield Amanda - Amanda McBroom - SheffieldLove Letters - Amanda McBroom - SheffieldDanny Boy (A Cappella) - John McDermottBallad of a Runaway Horse - Jennifer WarnesComin' Back to Me - Rickie Lee JonesMining for Gold - Cowboy JunkiesMy Baby Just Cares for Me - Holly Cole TrioThe Pony Man - Gordon LightfootWay Down Deep - Jennifer WarnesMy Home is in the Delta - Muddy Waters - MFSLRubberbandman - YelloThe Gates of Dafos - Mickey Hart - Reference Recordings

I find it's a great way of discovering new music risk free, if I don't like the music I just return the discs. With regards to quality, if it ain't lossless it's not going to be CD quality, is it good enough, who knows?
Hey Aerius, How are you buddy?which library do you go to that has CDs?
