Has anybody tried this?

Just wondering if this is even possible:
I have thought about hooking up a subwoofer to a headphone amp. Less for the sound but more for the feeling you get psychoacoustically. Am I just crazy or would/has this worked?

There are definitely people who have done this - I've even seen someone say that headphones with a sub is THE best sound you can get. If you do a search for subwoofer on Head-Fi, I'm sure you'll find some posts.
I've never tried it myself.

I've thought about it more than once but when I use my headphones it's because I can't generate noise. Perhaps something like an Aura bass shaker on your chair to give you the feeling.

Yeah I was thinking about a bass shaker too but a sub would let you move around the room. Still it's acool idea. I can't listen to headphones anymore b/c they hurt my ears. I really wish I could.
