FET 3 Switch
« on: 8 Feb 2007, 01:03 pm »
I have been fiddling with my set up and pulled out my old Hafler/ FET 3 preamp. I have an HT set up with a lexicon DC-1 and I use slim squeezebox for music. I was thinking that going straight from the squezebox to the FET 3 might be an improvement for stereo. But I was swondering about swtiching cables. Couldn't I run the analog out of the SB to fet three and for HT run a connect from the DC-1 main out to FET-3? ie the stereo analog signal would go SB to FET 3 to amp (with a DAC in the future) HT digital signal would go DVD > DC-1 > FET-3> Amp This way I could change inputs on the FET 3 with out having to move the line cables

Does this make sense?

I guess this should work, assuming that plugging into one output on the SB does not defeat the other output connector.  This happens with some equipment.

Actually its time to replace that very old Fet 3 preamp.  :)
