Friends,
I'm back in Oberlin this week teaching as I do every summer at the Conservatory's summer vocal program. As always, coming back does me a world of good-- remembering why I went to music school in the first place, etc.
At any rate, I'm staying in an apartment owned by an old prof of mine. On the dresser in the room where I'm staying is this incrediby cool vintage Blaubunkt "Riviera" table top radio. It does AM, FM, SW, LW, and a few things I've never heard of. It is just a bit bigger than a bread box, and the cabinet and styling are beautiful. It has a wonderful silky sound.
I don't know if this guy has any particular attachment to this piece, but I'd like to offer him something for it. Can someone with some experience in vintage gear tell me what it might be worth? I'd like to offer him something fair if its collectible. Gotta have it for my office in Nashville.
