Another one of those crazy projects I like to do, that has gone on for a year or so. This time what to do with all those ( 3 of them) Sansui 500A carcasses with no OPT's. I modded one of these years ago to a preamp/tuner. Over the years its gotten a CLCLC filter and 5Y3GT Tube rectification, I'll do that one later.
This Sansui 500A carcass, now sports a single tube gain stage and a single ended output using Telefunken OPT's. She only puts out about 3 watts but They sound decent. Plus it still has headphone output thru the jack, FM tuner, Aux input, High/ Low filter, Balance and tone control.
Now with the gain reduced and no Hum, a fun project.
