SteveHow can there be a fire hazard w/o conductors in the power "cables"?
To take this off topic a bit, I've always questioned how those Mapleshade power cords pass any code? UL, or whatever?
Sorry, SteveI didn't see the conductors till looking closer! Now I see the little braided green wires.
The wire looks so fine I guess it serves double duty as a circuit breaker!

Why wouldn't they have to? Just due to the limited quantity of production, or something?
If the wire guage is sufficient, has a non-conductive coating at the voltages/amperages used, and is not in a wall then it's as safe as any other cord.
