Great story of the Funk Brothers.  Good cinema, great music.  Highly recommended.  They show most of a reunion concert with Joan Osborne and several others singing with the phenomenal Motown studio band.

This is why one goes to the trouble of building a home theater system.

Just because it was mixed in ES, doesn't mean that there's much of anything in the rear center channel on that particular soundtrack. So you might not be missing out on much, if any at all.

Another thing is a single rear center is quite hard to hear behind you, and as such it doesn't work very well. 2 rear centers work much better, though not all processors allow for the use of 2 rear centers.

Yeah, you are right about the rear.  Even if I did not have the surrounds it still would have been 90-95% the same - which is to say outstanding!  It also has Dolby 5.1 for that matter.

I saw this film at the Boulder Theater.  I liked the film but did anyone else feel like every minute they were cramming down your throat how great these guys are?  They were great and all but it seemed a bit much
