Gross is 3.5cuft. Net is about 3cuft. With the right stuffing and EQ it will be just right.

I placed my order today for the 3 kits. Hopefully I'll be able to finish them in 2-4 weeks (mostly just weekends). By then, a pair of TC-3000s (on sale right now) should have arrived, and I can begin building two sealed ~3.5cuft boxes for them, each powered by a buttkicker amp (1900 watts @ 2 ohms). Together it should be a pretty wicked theater system in a 2000 cubic foot well-sealed and treated room. Can't wait to hear the end result! :green:

Then I'll start on the surrounds... if I even get there after being blown away. Can you tell I'm excited?

Yes, 2000 cubic feet, not square feet. Bryan's probably right, I'd need at least 4 more 15" subwoofers in that kind of space. Hopefully 2 will be able to keep up - looks like it will, according to this guy's experience. He's got just short of 2000 cubic feet and is hitting above reference levels (120+ db) at about the same seating distance (11 feet - 3.5 meters). I've got my fingers crossed. This will be quite a change from a lot of systems I've heard, where the speakers are struggling to keep up with the subwoofers (not even at reference levels, either).

I was just kidding about the extra subs. My main room is about 3000 cuft and the RC5s will rattle your head without subs. The 2-15's will be sufficient in that room. No worries!

Once things get going, I'll be posting the build progress and measurements for both the LCRs and the subwoofers over here on AVS Forums. The subwoofers and amplifier have arrived, and Rick intends on shipping out his kits sometime next week.

Updates posted over on AVS forum (follow the link in the previous post). Although it's just a subwoofer update for now, I'll have speaker build updates posted in a couple of hours.

All done! I guess it took more than a few hours to post those updates :D. Updates were done, here, to keep all the build information in one place. Enjoy!
