Hello Gooberdude,

Thanks for asking about the lake catastrophe.  I don't have a boat there, but know several people who do, or did.  A friend had just bought a new Cobalt, but luckily had it in dry storage and it wasn't damaged.

I generally try to stay away from the congestion of the Lake of The Ozarks.  I grew up close to there back before anyone knew it was there.  I now live on a 50 acre private lake in the middle of nowhere and only have a little bass boat to worry about.  I still have about 6 inches of ice on the roof of the house though.

Are you a Missourian?  Thanks again for your post.  If you haven't already, I would invite you to try our products.

The scene there is simply devastating.  My folks' boat is ok & hopefully the Sea-Doo made it also..

there are a # of the large condo bldgs that have websites, and that's really where i've seen most of the aerial pics...$150 Million in lawsuits and an ecological disaster.  wait, didn't this same thing happen 10 years ago???             So much crazy-a&* horsepower sitting on the muddy bottom right now.   Entire marina's, like Port Arrowhead, have supposedly closed up shop...   gigantic sales docks with million dollar yachts, like 30 of them, sitting 40' down still.

It really is a mess - hopefully the water won't be closed more than this year.  good time to be a fiberglass hull repair guy.   especially if they have a stereo habit...     All that lake needed was to get even dirtier!

My folks have been taking me to Osage Beach my whole life, at mile marker 3.  i'm up in chicago now though..folks are in StL & head there most every weekend.

to say the Lake is congested is a HUGE understatement. i refuse to go on big holiday weekends, like it in the fall though when we can open their Formula up & boat for hours without getting beat up.  a 14,000 lb boat is needed to cruise comfotably & safely in the summer...its nuts.

I've gone through the sample 3 pack of your product.  It shows a user firsthand that some type of greasy stuff is on a new record, and the Lp sounds better with it removed.  I buy a lot of new records, and cleaning them once crazy style with your solutions has proven really beneficial.   i probably won't clean those records again.  My experience with this stuff is limited though, i've used the solution that came with my nitty gritty (terrible), VPI solution from concentrate w/distilled water (1 step) & your 3 part AI.

With about 500 Lp's to go, i'm kinda searching for a 2 step process that does the same....i will be in touch though if that proves fruitless.

Hello Gooberdude,

I'll let you in on a little secret:  I have always used the products as a two step system.  I don't use the Ultra-Pure Water rinse.  Be sure not to tell anyone.  About half or a little more of the users use the Ultra-Pure water.  It's not a bad idea to use the Ultra-Pure, and it will give you a cleaner record, but it's not necessary to end up with a clean record.  I hope that makes sense.  That's why we offer what is called a 'Duo Kit', which contains the Enzymatic Formula and the Super Cleaner Formula.

The Ultra-Pure water was born because a lot of users asked for the product and many say that they can detect a difference.  I would suggest that you try cleaning without the Ultra-Pure if you have any of the kit left and see for yourself.  It will do no harm to the records.  If you've run out please let me know.

The stuff on new records is mould release.  One of the most important things with handling records is to do your best to get all of it off before you play the record.  If you don't, you'll end up with pops and clicks that you probably won't get rid of.  I can give an explanation of why this is, but it's too long for this post.  Our products do a good job of getting the mould release off.  If you can do this first thing, it also makes keeping the record clean easier to do.

If you ever want to go into more depth on record cleaning, please give me a shout.
