Bugle super-regulator
« on: 24 Jan 2007, 09:15 pm »
Jim, I remember you talking about adding super regulators to the Bugle and it making a large difference.
Would the ones from BursonAudio be compatible?

The super Regulators would be added to the power supply of the Bugle.

Looks to me like the 78B and 79B models would work fine.  Choose 12V or 15V.  Then give it a nice raw supply in front of it (look at my power supply schematic for ideas).  Make sure you have enough headroom for the Bursons.

Hi Pat,

Did you end up fitting the Burson super regulator to the Bugle power supply?
Did you notice any improvement?

Cheers!
Mark

never did. tried the burson discrete opamp and it was a nogo so i moved on. I think it might be worthwhile, though.

I've ordered a bugle and a power supply kit.
I'll use the burson regulators and report back if you are interested.
