I'm having a problem figuring out how to connect the BL-1 to the DH Labs banana plugs.  Does anyone have very specific instructions on this?  I ordered the BL-1 in bulk and there were no instructions.  I am handy with a soldering iron but don't know if it is needed with this type of termination.

I thought it would be more intuitive, but it is not.

Thanks,

Hey!

Isn't the BL-1 cable is for interconnector use?

And which banana are we talking about here?

If they are crimp type than you could striped out the wire use hobby knife to scrape the conductors a bit to clean it off.... scrape around the inside of the banana plug too. Than put the wire in and crimp it very hard. And solder it to fill in the void in side and to seal the connection off. :D

Well, that is what I do with my speaker cable but I use spades. Hope this help :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

PS

Why this post is here anyway? This sound like something that belong in "The Lab" You might get more respond there.

Good catch!  I meant to say I need help with the RCA terminations on the BL-1 Series II.  I'll send it over to the Lab.  I am new to this site and am still getting familiar with what's what!

try contacting DHLabs.  A few years back I terminated some BL-1 IC's with their instructions which they had pre-printed.  good luck.

Wish I could help but I don't have any experience with either product.

Most cables are pretty simple though.   For single ended cables you have a ground and a hot.   About the only complexity is the shielding (if there is any).   Give the fellows at DH Labs a call.   I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
