Every dealer has their own policy that I've seen. In my experience, if the dealer thinks I'm really interested, an in-home demo is encouraged. It's a bit like buying a car. McIntosh dealers seem to only be allowed if you have a B&M public showroom... which means it might be a little tough to get an in-home demo based on availablity but who knows.....
