I am interested because Clive is in it...Whatever, call it a Man Crush, I would give some tonque to Clive, even though I would enjoy it. None of you have the right to accuse me of anything though unless you call out Rob for liking BloodRayne.
I saw this movie last week and enjoyed it. From a story-line perspective, it's a pretty simple film...but it's the kind of movie that to really get into it, you need to pay attention to all the stuff in the background...this movie could have tried to beat you over the head with all sorts of commentary about our society, the environment, etc, but rather than do that, it puts all those things as a backdrop and never makes you feel like you're being preached-to. And yes, the realism of the action portrayed in the film is one of the best made IMHO...The best audio analogy is "the detail doesn't jump out at you, but it's there if you look (listen) for it"...
It seems that most of these sci-fi kind of movies tend to be dark (the actual screen I mean). They tend to create a lot of scenes via the computer. And, the results often come across as the characters are in night scenes but in fact they're not. These scenes just add to the gloom, as if the characters never see the light of day. This is the one thing I'm not thrilled about such movies.
Saw this in theaters...and we all agreed that it was pretty good...but the ending was pretty much a letdown.
