Leben Amplifiers

I was cruising around the internet, wasting some time  :? and came across what I thought was a really neat amplifier that has a  nostalgic look; and appears to be solidly made. Has anyone ever heard this amp? Have a look:

Read a review of it over here (France) but not this one. The 300X. Suppposed to be wonderfully built and lucious sounding. The maker was head honcho at Luxman for years. Quit/retired and couldn't resist doing it over...his way. I suspect they are very good but voiced for that burnished/golden kind of sound of yore.

As a matter of fact, 6moons did a review of the 300x.....

They referred to the sound as just the opposite...very refined and extended.  :dunno: I'll bet the 600 sounds killer with a complimentary speaker...maybe yours, shep!

Don't get me started! I'm happy as a clam with my modded Trend. You guys don't know what you're missing  Well the French and 6moons have slightly different ears. Stands to reason. Any way you look at it, it's a nice piece of kit. The Japanese are very into retro, hand-built-by virgins or 90-year-old -masters thing. The story was that he left Lux when they started to lower their standards and get away from hi-end. I forget the model, but I had one of his tube amps for a while in the 80's. Don't know why I gave it up or didn't like it. Probably something wrong with the rest of my system.
