I sometimes wonder how certain systems would sound that I have built in my head. Many new products will be introduced this year and quite a few interest me. So with some of my free time I mate components with some of the new products that interest me. Here is a list of systems I put together:

No, I havn't heard these combinations. I would like to. I just do this for fun.

In the next week or two (McAlister on its way) I will find out how this sounds.

3. optional, for fun, will try the SE tube on top and a SS on bottom of VMPS RM40s.

If I had lots of money (think Bill G.), I would have at least 4 demo shops across the country and would let people come and hear whatever combo they wanted, with the exception of over $100,000 speakers, amps, power cords, etc....

I would travel the world for "live music" with that kind of money.
The demo places would be for my "AC friends".

Plus, I have to admit that I think the gear is pretty cool also.
I confidently say I am not alone around here on that.

McAlister amp is at the post office.
It arrived Tuesday but I didn't see the notification in the mailbox until after work Wednesday.
I am off work Thursday, so I will have time to rearrange all my gear and give it a good listening.

Does McAlister have a website? I've searched for it but couldn't find it.
It would be interesting to see how this gear stack up to the Belles Reference, TRL and the Moscode. Eagerly awaiting feedback.

How do you like your Salk's and what would you compare them to? Some say they are a better sounding speaker than the b$w signatures etc. I'm interested in these speakers but there is so much out there its tough to decide with out listening. I visited CES on the last day and spent the day at the venetian. I heard some good sound there. A lot of the componets were 10k and 20k+ a pop. The BAT room was nice. The VAC, Talon Wadia room was mind bogling good. I'm trying to achieve this sound at a fraction of the cost. From what i hear..the Salk's are a good speaker to consider for that.
