The bipolars are fine in all positions. I have a problem with them as a first stage because of the possibility of rectifying AM radio. That's one drawback of the bipolar differential pair. They turn into diodes at RF. Sometimes this can demodulate an AM or shortwave broadcast at the input stage, which results in a baseband component. When you have a phonostage that picks up radio stations, it is most likely a bipolar input type.
Now, that's not to say it will always happen. Just a trend. It doesn't mean that FET input opamps are immune, either. Some designs better than others.
It's not the input bias current I was worried about.
