The ICEpower® and Nuforce amps run their class D amps with a single positive voltage power supply.  Because of this, there is DC voltage on each speaker output terminal.  Since it is the same voltage on the positive and negative terminal the speaker could care less....but you cannot run the output of an ICE or Nuforce amp into a separate subwoofer like the REL, Vandersteen, Gallo, etc.  If you did you would short out the amp.  We have created a sub interface for these amps that uses a seriously good audio transformer to isolate the DC voltage from the subwoofer.  We have prototype here and need to have people test it with their subwoofs to make sure that it sounds great....I don't have a sub to try it with....but have tested it with the ICE amps and there is certainly no DC coming out (so is perfectly safe)and response is only down 1 db at 5 cycles (tested on O-Scope).  If any of you have either an ICE based amp (EVS, PS Audio, Rowland, Bel-Canto, H2O, Red Dragon or any other Ice based amps) or any of the Nuforce amps and have a sub you could try with it....well....I can send you the device to try and if you want to buy one I will give you a super discount for beta testing.
