Omega Grand Line Array
« on: 16 Dec 2006, 03:10 am »

18 WR125ST XBL^2 motor 16 0hm mid woofers
12 RA140 ribbon Aurum Cantus ribbons
9 Extremis 5 one side and 4 on the other side.
Ported Extremis is a option tuned to 25hz but with the DEQX he will be getting a little lower than 20hz.

This customer built the cabinets himself as well is running a DEQX on them with multi amps, that selection process is on now.

If he want to he will post comments.

Well done Scott :thumb:
Then add the Apex C as the center channel to this room.

But seriously, nice job. Any information on further specs. Sensitivity, impedance? Also, cost to build?

Hope to get down to Scotts place and take some measurments with Praxis as soon as we can.But he will have the DEQX going shortly.
The DEQX with these just makes the hair stand up on your neck!

Yes he has a large room, not sure on the size but I will find out again.
Now the kicker for you all for the surrounds he is using is our black clearance cabinets cut for the extremis and we did a custom design with the G3 series for him. :P
These are located on the side walls as well as rear wall for the surround.
So he technical has more than 18 Extremis in his room :icon_lol:

John the ribbon is our short G3 series ribbon made from Aurum Cantus.
And yes ,this ribbon is not listed on our site .
Really we had it for the arrays only.As it is the shortest out of all the G3 makes for a better array tweeter.

This customer has a similar set up.
You can see the Omega 18-12 in the front as mains, then the Lambda as rears 8-6 hiding in the background is 2 towers in a high gloss black which hold 9 extremis as add ons to the Omega arrays.

The center channel is no longer as we have just put in the Apex C with his review on audioreview.com.

From this is were Scott's Omega Grands came forward. These Omega grands of Scott's have been in the work's for about 6 months now.(Omega Grand has 9 side firing extremis woofers)
