Okay, the vote is in and CLEARLY the tube-rectified supply is a winner!
We are pleased to offer two options for existing ModWright 'Truth' mod customers.
1) Upgrade of existing external tube power supply to tube rectified supply = $400 (provided existing supply is current)

2) New Tube Rectified PS 9.0 power supply = $500.
This upgrade is only offered ModWright Direct and not through dealers.
The new power supply includes a 5AR4 tube rectifier (1) tube to serve as rectifier for high voltage tube supply. The upgraded power supply circuit also includes improved solid-state voltage regulation with constant current sources. The results of both improved voltage regulation and tube rectification include an even lower noise floor, improved dynamics, detail and extension and significant improvements in 3-D holographic imaging and soundstage. The tube rectifier also brings tube warmth and improvement in overall musicality.
The following players with Modwright 'Truth' (Tube analog stage) mods qualify for the power supply upgrade:

We also have available, the Acoustic Zen mfd. Copper tube power supply umbilical for $250. This is a significant improvement over the stock umbilical. Some of our customers have also found that they prefer the sound of the new Copper umbilical over the Reference Silver umbilicals that we have offered for earlier Denon and Sony 'Truth' mods.
*Existing supply must be in current power supply chassis as shown above, in order to qualify for upgrade option. Dimensions of this supply = 10"L x 8"W x 4"H. Older supplies are physically too small to accomodate rectifier tube and new circuit board. If supply is older, replacement power supply may be purchased for $500. This may also require some re-wiring of the player to accomodate new supply.

Note:
This same power supply is used in our ModWright Instruments Inc. manufactured products also. The SWP 9.0SE standalone phono includes tube rectified supply standard. The SWLP 9.0SE preamp with internal phono stage and external power supply is available standard with solid-state rectified supply or with tube-rectified supply for $500 more. The tube rectified supply is NOT available for the SWL 9.0SE LS.
