Hi,
Sorry if this is a question from the unwashed masses. I'm a software guy, not a hardware guy

The enclosure I am using for my bugle + PS is just too small, and there is too much EMI which causes a nasty buzz at respectable listening levels (it's a +60dB config). I am investigating using a different chassis. I found one that I think I can use, and it even has a power supply. It comes from an old SCSI hard drive enclosure. The power supply provides +12V and +5V. I would expect the +12V connection would work just fine.
My ignorance comes into play with regard to the amperage. The power supply says it provides 1.8 amps on the +12V connection. I know the bugle PS says it does up to about 100mA. Is this an issue? I have no idea if I would fry the board by using the power supply in this chassis.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David
