Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you ask all of them?

Also, some unsolicited comments....

I went to your site and was immediately impressed with the mood and overall feel.  Very cool.  However, I am not sure what you do or sell.  Are you a speaker manufacturer?  Or do you make art? sell instruments?  The wording is a bit too flowery for me to follow the actual nature of your business.  I'm guessing you're a consortium of 4 brands based on the dealers page.  However, you have no products.  I did see one photo of a speaker...

Anyway, it's essential to have a place where reviewers can point readers to read more about the products, view specs, and read the design philosophy.  If I read a review about your speakers and was pointed to the SuperFi site, I would just be confused.

Full disclosure; I build websites, market and promote products and services, and provide business consulting.

So, that's my 2 cents.

Hi,

We're distributors of audio equipment, special things IMHO. If you navigate to The Collection you will see the lines we represent. Dealers will give you a list of dealerships that repreasent our products. News/Reviews will give you a blog of various bews and reviews items. Since this is the first I'm hearing of a cionfusion about our website, I'd be interested if anyone else found it confusing our difficult to navigate?

Anyone - please let me know?

TWO THINGS OF IMPORTANCE:

In the interest of full disclosure I am submitting the following:

1) I have been in touch with Srajan to see if he is available to review the speakers. He's told me that he's way booked up and unable to take on another project in the near term. Thus it would seem that 6moons is a no-go for the speaker - at least in the foreseeable future.

2) After that communique' I then asked him for rate-cards for the site in order to advertise there - SO - you should now or soon see an ad for Angelus on the site.

I had previously said that I hadn't been advertising on the online mags, but I needed to do something for Angelus to raise awareness and so I began there.

Chris

Just go one step down the list then!
I also could suggest Greg Weaver (PFO)
He's not on the list I know.
One could maybe ask the top 3 after voting has ended?
Whoever says yes, gets the honor!  :D
After all this vote is a "moment in time" for the Who's more known/liked at the moment out there.
As we all know well, writing a smashing and true to the heart review does go down well.
Of course Superfi, you are well within your rights to submit Angelus to anyone
you find prudent, regardless of this vote, that my view on this matter.
Also one must take note: Quickly getting feedback for the producers is a good thing!
One can not expect perfection, but always do ones best. A review is a fieldtest, such is this vote also.

Hi Imperial,

My idea for this poll was definitely different and kind of awkward for me, but I wanted to try and find a way to democratize the process in a wat that would help people here feel good about the process. There's no shortage of people who feel the reviewing process is rigged, corrupt, etc. In wanting to try something differet I came up with this idea - not entirely sure it's a great one, but we're stuck with it for the moment - or at least *I* am because I made a promise and I intend to follow through.

If the 'winner' of the poll is unable to review the speaker, we'll just go down the line until we can find a willing reviewer. Though I may have personal preferences to match the speaker to the right person, I did make a promise and I feel obligated to see the process through.

I believe this is an industry first.
A commendable effort indeed!  :thumb:

Kudos!

Hi All!

Looks to me as if Tyson has become our go-to guy! A local, trusted and respected, and I'm all for it. I will email him from within the Audiocircle system and ask him if he would like to spend some time with Angelus in the interest of evaluating it for the membership.

Thanks to all who participated!

OK ... A twist:

I've heard back from Tyson, but he's not confident in the acoutics of his new home to do what he would feel is a fair job.

MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE RANCH: I have secured with Srajan that sometime next year he will make room for Angelus in his lineup, so there will be a review by Srajan at some point next year.

Why don't you put a pair or two on a road trip to potential customers around the circle here.  Let people keep them one or two weeks.   I believe people would much rather make up their own mind as to their preferences in lieu of trusting someone else's ears.

Now this doesn't mean forsaking a so-called professional review.  We know from experience that this type publicity generates interest and subsequently sales.  So keep your appointment with 6-Moons or whoever.  But if the speaker is the holy grail that you seem to claim it is, then you will be backlogged with orders by the time Srajan gets to it.

I'm not claiming it's the holy grail - but it's a beautifully made high performance loudspeaker that, I believe, gets more out of the Seas coaxial than anyone has gotten out of it before.

Your idea has merit, but that would still take time. Possibly by February we might be able to get a pair into a limited tour, but i've never done one before. How does it work? What safeguard are typically built in to the process?

I'm not averse - tell me more.

The folks here are very trustworthy, I have had the Ronins in about 6 persons homes so far, and slated to hit 6-10 more of them.  It has worked out great, just a lot of shipping charges when they weigh 130lbs apiece packed.

Just get an address so you know where to send your local hired hands, and an 80lb bag of quickcrete if things get out of hand ;).

OK - Srajan has posted a PREVIEW of the Angelus, and I'll send him a pair next year. Hopefully he'll have an opportunity to get to them before Autumn, but he did indicate he was quite booked.
