Frank, Martyo is letting my use his Carver Platinum speakers. He is using a Carver TFM 75 amp rated at 750 watts a side in his set (I hope he does not blow up my Dhalquist with all those watts). I have had a little trouble with popping the 5 amp fuses in my 550EXR6. I was wondering if I could use a 6 amp fuse, would this hurt the amp or the speakers? The Platinum's are fused with 4 amp fuses. Thanks  :smoke:

Frank, thats 2 4 amp fuses per side, 1 each for the ribbon and woofers. Okay mark funk, I'm not going to blow up the DQ10's.

No problem using six amp quick blow speaker fuses with the Ultra 550 amplifier.  Although if you are blowing 5 amp fuses, you are putting over 200 watts into the speakers, and thinking about how much heat two 100 watt light bulbs generate, and putting that much heat into a voice coil, I would suggest that overdoing it could melt the voice coil wires.  Caution!
