What passive crossover would suit Scanspeak Revelator 7" woofer and Revelator tweeter in a 25 litre box?

Also thinking of active crossover.  Anyone recommend Carvin?  or other reasonably priced maker/supplier or kit?

Please elaborate with model numbers for the tweeter and woofer.  Additionally, there is no way to specify the ideal crossover without knowing quite a bit more.  For example, even if you know both tweeter and woofer - the size of the baffle will effect the sound, and therefore the fine-tuning of the crossover.

People also have different preferences to how they prefer interfacing of two drivers...some prefer higher-order crossovers, while others appreciate 1st order x-overs.

Given the non-linear response of the drivers, a simple crossover might not be ideal.  if you're trying to control impedance response, or extend bass output for example, then a combined hi-pass / low-pass crossover isn't going to be a good fit for your needs.

I'm not sure it's possible to give the design of an ideal crossover without knowing your amplification source, listening preferences, and dimensions of the box.

Okay, getting complicated...
Scanspeak 18W/8531G00 7" Mid/Woofer
Scanspeak D2905/9900 tweeter

Norh Le Amp II amplification (on order) 180W

Like listening to jazz, some folk, fusion, rock (nothing too heavy)

The box is where things get funky.  It's a ceramic planter with a 20cm (8") base and a 35cm (14") opening.  Tipped on it's side, it resembles a horn, though the opening isn't round, rather a rounded square.  The baffle is 3/4" MDF cut to fit the opening.  The prototype using old Onkyo drivers/crossover sounds very good.  I want more!

I've read that active crossovers with bi-amping is much simpler to adjust and 'tune' the best points.  If so, can you recommend a maker/supplier that won't break the bank (already did on ScanSpeak).

I built some kit speakers that use a 7in scanspeak and the revelators.
Originnaly, the kits came with Solen caps ect, and i changed them out to Hovland caps/Alpha core and it made a huge difference in sound quality.

So if you go with passive xovers, quality parts make a big difference.
If you go with active, I would be interseted in how it works out.
