At the rear of my room are two closets, one in each corner. The doors have been taken off both. They are each 30" x 32" x 90" h. One houses this computer station, but the top 36" could be used for a bass trap, the other is empty.
Is it a good idea to use them for bass traps?
For the empty one could I just make a panel trap and seal it over the door's opening? The top of the other one could use two panels to make an L shape that would seal it's top section I'm guessing.
What material would anyone suggest. (It would be a bonus if it could be cotton.)
I'm expecting the outer layer of the traps would be useful for absorption.

Also, I thought maybe a diffuser would work well in these corners. Can they partially cover the bass traps and still allow them to work? I would also try the diffusers on the side wall of the corner.

Sure - why not.  If they're in the corners it's a perfect place - though the doorway will cause a slight restriction.

If it were me, I'd just stay with soft broadband absorbtion in both.  Acoustical cotton would work fine.

Is this Quiet Batt a good material to use for bass traps? Wasn't sure if it's too dense, or other problem.

It's important that the trap is very effective, otherwise there could be bad results.  I once set out some cheap bass traps and the first bass notes I caught began to chew off their own legs and quickly escaped and hid in another room.  They were wounded, but their spirit was not broken.  I sensed that defeat was near so I concocted a new plan.  Around closing time at the local Home Depot store I hide under a shelf.  When everyone is gone I set up my system (the equipments are scattered in various hiding places throughout the store) in the insulation aisle and enjoy incredibly flat bass response.  Risky sure, but we audiophiles must be prepared to take the necessary stes for high fidelity reproduction.  So normailly I'd recommend filling the closets with fiberglass, but even better is to go right to the source.

Willing to share the products?
This winter I plan on building some "nice looking" as well as effective traps to replace my "quick & dirty" ones.
The Q&D's definetly help, but I'd like to build some new, more attractive ones.

That product is $82.56 for 24'x24"x5.5".  The one I have is $134 for 32'x24"x5.5".  Apples to apples including any shipping.
