Is the Hagtech The Ripper a good match for a Project Debut III turntable?

Just stumbled across the very interesting Hagtech the Ripper LP to USB converter / phono stage.

I don't own a turntable (yet), but am interested in how synergistic a combination this Hagtech phono stage would be for a Pro-ject Debut III turntable?

More generally, can anybody describe the Hagtech "house sound"?

Also, is the Hagtech the Ripper's headphone output capable of driving the Sennheiser HD650 headphones well (with 1/8 to 1/4 adapter)

The Project III would be a perfect fit with the RIPPER.  Although someday you might want to upgrade the cart and/or table for better sound.  Still, it's a great match to get started in analog.

There is no Hagerman house sound.  Sorry to tell you that.  My electronics are not "voiced" in any way other than for transparency and openness.  They are designed for crystal clear linearity with perfect transient response and dead-on equalization.  No tone controls here, except by rolling tubes.

If you are looking for added euphonic earthiness or bloated bass or emphasized highs, then you'll have to shop elsewhere.  On the other hand, don't expect anything cold and sterile, either.

The Sennheisers will work, but I'm not sure how loud they will be.
