Trouble/bug on SP2...
« on: 31 Oct 2006, 10:54 am »
Hi everyboby, Hi James,

I'm having a strange trouble with my SP2...
It happened twice since i got it back from the upgrade.
When i want to turn up the volume a bit more (for exemple) the screen on the SP2 stays black, nothing appears on it and the volume doesn't increase.
If i do it manually, nothing happens.
Then, if i try to change manually the mode, for exemple switching from stereo to surround mode, then the volume goes from reasonable to VERY VERY loud (with a loud distortion) and nothing can be done to reduce it apart from switching the SP2 to the off position...

It didn't break my speakers but it was just limit to do some damages...
Has anyone encountered this before ?
James are you aware of such a bug ?
What should i do ?

Thanks by advance...
MOZ

I'll check tonight...
It doesn't happen a lot (twice, as i said) but it is quite frightening when it happens...

Since this is the latest software available on the site, I guess you're sending a newer beta version.

What has changed? Perhaps being able to force Dolby Digital EX ?  :)

brucek

Hi brucek,

Not sure I understand your comment about force DD-EX - do you want to force the input to always default to DD-EX when back speakers are engaged.

Thanks a lot JAMES...
I'm seeing my retailer friend tomorrow i'll ask him to do the FW upgrade (i have his computer/EQ'ing system at home :) )...
By the way, we've done a new EQ of the new subwoofer and i simply rediscover my all system with this new one !
Amazing how the things change with a great sub (TRIAD PLATINIUM THX)...
