Damn, and to think I held out for so long waiting for the prices to fall, then got impatient and bought my 42" NEC in June for a whooping 2500$...most expensive single piece of electronics I ever bought in my lifetime...just had to see the World Cup bigger than my old 27" tv.
Hey! Well, on the bright side... at least you watched and enjoyed the World Cup on bigger screen Was it more fun on bigger 42" screen? My new LCD is only 27" Take care,Buddy
If you really wanted to watch the World Cup in style, you needed an 8' wide screen, none of this little "girly" stuff measured in inches.

IMHO, the U.S games against Czechoslovakia and Ghana deserved something like a fuzzy 14-inch black & white TV. Dave
