Does Odyssey have an Indy showroom?
« on: 24 Oct 2006, 04:20 pm »
Hi folks,

Was wondering if anyone knew if Odyssey Audio has a product showroom at their Indianapolis office and what the days/hours of operation were?

I tried to call their main number (317-299-5578) and got no answer.

If they're open on Saturdays, I may have an opportunity in the near future to take a road trip (from Cincinnati) for a look / listen...specifically at the Candela and be able to see the custom face plate colors in person.

Thanks!
Bob

Klaus has been at the RMAF show in colorado so you'll probbly have a better time trying to reach him today or tomorrow.

Hey Bob,
I don't think that Odyssey has a showroom, but Klaus himself might have a suggestion for a listen.
If you do a search, someone has posted AT LEAST once Klaus' cellphone number as that is the best way to reach him.  He doesn't get on here all that much, but if you saw how much caffeine he can put away, it is no wonder he doesn't sit down for it that much!!
A first rate guy that be quite accomodating; don't give up on one number that doesn't get answered.
I know he had a bit of stuff that was keeping him from bouncing out of Denver first thing monday, but that too could change.

Great luck!
Regards,

I had thought that the number listed was his cellphone number. When I called him one time I believe he was driving somewhere. Unless he has it set to transfer calls to his cellphone like we do at my work.

Just so everyone knows....Odyssey does not have an Indy showroom.  When asked, Klaus said "your living room is my showroom".  He went on to explain the trial / return policy, offered to meet me in person at a near by location to save shipping costs and would bring faceplate samples to look at first hand.  Gotta like that!

I'll probably be hung from the nearest light pole for this post, but a guy's gotta have some fun from time to time you know! So Klaus and Alex just take it as a joke to liven up the place!
The show room is at the corner of 10th street and Grand Ave. in Speedway Indiana. But be warned it's OK to smoke a cigar while you there, and this time of year bring a coat and hat as you may find the thermostat turned way down. The good part is that you don't have to walk five feet from your car for a viewing! And boy is the rent cheap!
after this post I can now rest assured that I've moved about twenty-five rungs on down the ladder here, but it's fun.

OK, I'm not familiar with the area...so let me guess....a parking lot where people tailgate for Colts games?   :dunno:

close, but no cigar here. This place is within eyesight of the race track, not in downtown Indy.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway....

Klaus CAN show his products in Indy, just call him after he wakes up..you know about 4:00 PM and make an appointment.

(317) 299-5578

IMS is on 16th street, but you did get the town right.
