Hi Sean,
Vinny, would you really say this is a precursor to the sig30?
Well, it is 30 watts per channel and SLA battery powered (the modded one), but "the buck stops there." It doesn't sound like a Signature 30. I've tried so many mods to that Teac and while it does sound very nice for the $$$, I couldn't get close the same level of refinement as the Sig 30. The Sig 30 has a much cleaner circuit board layout, fewer parts, and a better synergy of all the parts.
Still, for $400.00 it is really good SLA powered amp! In cases where the 6-watts of the Clari-T aren't enough, this modded Teac will bring in the guns!

I speak from experience....I own a RW Teac, and I'm very happy with it.
Hey Chris,
Glad you are enjoying it... it's been close to a year now, right?

Well if your still looking I have a non moded teac in my closet.
See what I'm talkin' about!?

I just know there are a lot of these still out there. I remember there was a lot of talk about them on the Klipsch forum a while back...
Best regards,
Vinnie
