Hey!
Last night NYC said goodbye to one of the best live music club in the history of music!

The club had been around longer than I am.

Opened in 1973 the club had been a landmark in Lower East side of NYC ever since. But more improtantly the club had been a launching platefrom for some of the well know rock group, like The Ramones, Blondie, Sonic Youth and etc.
Here is link to the NY Times about CBGB last night...

The last time I was there in November 2005 to see my friends play. I used to work with these 4 and they formed an alternative band called "Maybe The Welders" Here are some I took for them at CBGB that night in November 2005...

...and below the famous restroom at the CBGB

to see a few more of the pictures that I took of my friends band just click on .....
Maybe The Welders They don't have their own website yest but you could find them at
Maybe The Welders at MySpace.com And maybe I will see you at thier up coming shows

Anyway, back to the CBGB..... very sad to see it go.

I'm sure it won't be long til you see the space will be replace by a Starbuck or T-Mobile store

I'm glad that I have been there couple of times since I came to NYC.

Well, so long CBGB!

Take care,
Buddy
