ASL AQ 2006 DT preamp any opinions?

ASL AQ 2006 DT preamp any opinions?

I am considering changing my system next year and wondered if anyone has had any experience with this tube preamp.  I would mate it with a solid state amp, perhaps the CI D200's.  I have been unable to find any reviews of the ASL.  I have the ASL AV-8 amps in my bedroom system and they sound fantastic for the money.

The AQ 2006 has some things I'm looking for, a remote, a tape loop, and the price is right.  But how does it sound?

It's a pretty good preamp. Excellent value for the money. Nice clear highs, strong midrange. It should work well with the CI
